Bill.com founder and CEO René Lacerte anticipates when his company eventually moves into its new Bay Area headquarters, most likely next year, both his company and others will embrace a hybrid model in which employees work part-time at the office and part-time at home.
“I’ll be surprised if companies in the Valley tell employees, ‘You must be in the office every day of the week,’” Lacerte said as he looks beyond the current Covid crisis. “That will lead to better commute times for everybody and more space on the trains.”
Bill.com is building out its new headquarters in nearly 132,000 square feet at 6220 America Center Drive, a complex in San Jose’s Alviso community. The company has leased 48,200 square feet at 1810 Embarcadero Road in Palo Alto, its home since 2014. Read more via BizJournals
