Two companies, Pilot.com and Mitsubishi Motors North America, had just announced they were moving operations to Middle Tennessee, and they weren’t exactly trendsetters.
Approximately 4,100 jobs have been announced by California-based companies as either relocating to or being created in the Nashville area since 2015, according to Nashville Business Journal research. A large portion of those jobs has been created by at least 15 tech companies that now have all or a chunk of their operations in Nashville, such as Lyft, Eventbrite, Postmates, Stache and KeepTruckin. The new arrivals have added fuel to Nashville’s blazing growth and helped jolt its tech industry. (A little company called Amazon helped, too.) Read more via BizJournals
