When one walks into a job interview, knowledge of the company’s history, goals and current activity proves to the interviewer that you are not only prepared for the interview, but also that you want to be a part of the organisation.
Avoid desperation
Even if you are actually desperate to work at the company you’re interviewing for, it pays. You should exude the aura of someone who wants to work at the company but whose life won’t be over if the opportunity should fall through. No company wants to hire a desperate employee; emotions ideally shouldn’t really come into it, at least not at this stage.
